What is an optional hourly retainer?
For website owners that anticipate regular content updates or configuration changes, we offer a retainer option that can be added onto any maintenance plan. Adding a retainer for hourly work can save you a significant amount of money each month.
Retainer hours can be used for content updates, graphic changes, plugin installation or configuration changes, CSS modifications, or basic SEO. This is especially beneficial to website owners who regularly update content such as monthly promotions or staff updates.
Unused hours rollover for 1 additional month. Work that exceeds your retainer is quoted at our standard hourly rate. Work that falls outside of the scope of your maintenance plan is quoted at our hourly rate of $125/hour (subject to change).
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer 24/7 technical support?
We accept support requests via our support ticket system 24/7/365. Response times are typically within 0-12 hours and are answered in the order they’re received.
If an update breaks my site, does it cost extra to fix?
In most cases, no. We are able to resolve most issues relatively quickly. In cases where the issue was caused by a user, custom plugin, or takes longer than 2 hours to resolve it may result in billable hours. We’ll never charge your account without permission.
Can you restore my website to a previous version if needed?
Yes, we can restore to any available snapshot.
Do I have to have FWA hosting to sign up?
Nope. We can support WordPress installations on any web host. Though, we appreciate your hosting business and it can also decrease resolution times when your site is hosted with Florida Web Architects.
Do you support WordPress Multisite?
No, we do not currently support multisite configurations at this time.
What happens if my website is hacked?
Our preventative efforts proactively protect websites from most attacks and vulnerabilites. However, there is no 100% guaranteed way for anyone to prevent all potential security issues.
In the event that your site is hacked, we have a Hacked Site Repair service that is available one-time for $95. All additional incidents are billed at hourly rate.
I use a staging site. Do you support this?
Staging environments are supported under the Custom plan only. All other plans work directly with the production website.
What is Cloudflare optimization?
Cloudflare is a unique service that provides DNS, a content distribution network (CDN), firewall/security features, and more. We’re a Cloudflare Certified partner.
With our plans that include Cloudflare optimization, we’ll configure and manage your DNS, security, and performance features for optimal operation.
Why is e-commerce only available on the Pro and Custom plans?
Maintaining websites with e-commerce functionality is a much more manual process because there are generally more plugins and customizations. As such, maintenance of websites that run Woocommerce or other platforms are only supported on our Pro and Custom plans.
What can an optional hourly retainer be used for?
Retainer hours can be used for content updates, graphics changes, plugin installation and/or configuration, CSS updates, or basic SEO.
Retainer hours are not for new website designs, redesigns, or marketing campaigns. Please contact us if you’re interested in a proposal for a web design or marketing project.
How are maintenance plans billed?
Our maintenance plan invoices are due on the 1st of the month. Depending on when you start your plan, we may include both the first full future month and the prorated remainder of the current month on your first invoice.
How do I contact you for support?
We ask that support requests be submitted via our support ticket system, available through the Client Portal. This allows us to document each issue thoroughly and keep a log of issue resolution within our systems.
How can I cancel?
You can cancel your plan at any time by submitting a support ticket. This will allow us to properly disconnect our tools from your website. Your service will end on the last day of your billing cycle or immediately if you request to do so. We do not refund unused portions of service if you choose to cancel before the end of your term.
